In a major administrative move, the Chhattisgarh government has transferred eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 2021 batch to key postings across the state. The transfer order, issued by the Home Department, is aimed at enhancing ground-level policing in districts with strategic and security significance.
The reshuffle reflects a focused strategy to reinforce administrative and law enforcement mechanisms, especially in regions affected by Naxal activities and requiring a robust police presence.

Among the key transfers, Udit Pushkar, previously City Superintendent of Police (CSP), Jagdalpur, has been appointed as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Dantewada. Akash Kumar Shukla has been moved from Raigarh to serve as ASP, STF Durg. Rohit Kumar Shah will now take charge as ASP, Sukma, after his stint in Surguja. Ravindra Kumar Meena, earlier posted in Korba, will now serve as ASP, Bijapur.

Further strengthening the security grid, Aman Kumar Jha, CSP Raipur, has been appointed ASP, Bijapur. Aakash Shrishrimal has been assigned as ASP, Bhanu Pratappur. Ajay Kumar, CSP Civil Line, Raipur, and Akshay Pramod Sabadra, CSP Bilaspur, have both been posted as ASPs in Narayanpur district.

The state government’s move aims to bring renewed energy and a modern policing approach to some of the most challenging districts in Chhattisgarh. Officials view the deployment of young, dynamic officers as a strategic step toward improving operational efficiency, boosting public trust, and ensuring effective law enforcement.
