
The Jharkhand government has transferred 48 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including Senior Superintendents and Superintendents of Police, from 14 districts. The large-scale reshuffle, initiated by the Home, Prison, and Disaster Management Department, aims to strengthen law and order across the state and enhance administrative efficiency.
The districts impacted by this major police reshuffle include Pakur, Garhwa, Lohardaga, Simdega, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Godda, West Singhbhum (Chaibasa), Gumla, Khunti, Bokaro, and Chatra, along with the cities of Jamshedpur and Dhanbad. The move follows a parallel reshuffle of 20 Deputy Commissioners across Jharkhand, signalling a broader governance push by the state administration.

Senior-Level Appointments and Additional Charges
Among the prominent changes:

- Amol V. Homkar, a 2004 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from IG Operations to IG Railways.
- Priya Dubey, previously IG JAP, has been elevated to ADG Modernization cum Training, while also retaining additional responsibilities.
- Prabhat Kumar, IG Special Branch, will now also handle the IG JAP portfolio.
- Tadasha Mishra, ADG Railways, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department.
- Sanjay Anandrao Lathkar, formerly ADG Operations, has now taken charge as ADG Railways.
Key District Transfers
- Ajeet Kumar has been moved from SP City Dhanbad to SP City Ranchi.
- Praveen Pushkar takes over as SP Rural Ranchi, shifted from SP Rail.
- Nidhi Dwivedi transitions from SP CID to SP Pakur.
- Rajkumar Mehta becomes SP Jamtara, previously serving as SP City.
- Mukesh Kumar, earlier Commandant CISF Bokaro, has been posted as SP Godda.
- Rakesh Ranjan, from Commandant JAP-1, is now SP West Singhbhum (Chaibasa).
Realignments in Commandant Positions
- Kusum Punia moves from SP Special Branch to Commandant JAP-9, Sahibganj.
- Kishor Kaushal, ex-SSP Jamshedpur, is now Commandant JAP-7, Hazaribagh.
- Piyush Pandey replaces him as SSP Jamshedpur, transferred from Commandant JAP-10.
Other notable changes include Akhilesh Kumar Jha moving from IG Ranchi to Director, Jharkhand Police Academy, Michael Raj S. from IG Bokaro to IG Campaign, and Sanjeev Kumar taking charge as DIG ACB, transferred from DIG Hazaribagh.

All transferred officers have been instructed to assume their new roles immediately. Those not assigned new posts have been directed to report to the Police Headquarters.
