Haryana: 5 IAS transferred, Virender Lather made District Municipal Commissioner of Ambala

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Haryana Government on Thursday issued transfer and posting orders for five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect, aiming to streamline governance and improve service delivery across departments.


As per the official notification, 2014 batch IAS officer Virender Lather has been appointed as the District Municipal Commissioner, Ambala, and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ambala.

2016 batch IAS officer Rahul Narwal, currently serving as Special Secretary in the Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department, as well as Director, IT and Managing Director of CONFED, has been assigned additional charge as Special Director, Rural Development, Haryana, and Special Secretary, Rural Development Department.

2019 batch IAS officer Hitesh Kumar Meena will now serve as Additional Secretary in the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department.

Dr. Balpreet Singh, another 2019 batch IAS officer, has been posted as Chief Executive of the Haryana Khadi and Village Industries Board. He will also serve as Director, Archives, and Additional Secretary, Archives Department.


Renu Sogan, from the same 2019 batch, will take over as Additional Secretary in the Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID).
