In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has transferred and posted three IPS officers with immediate effect. Swapan Sharma (2009-batch Punjab cadre IPS officer), who was serving as DIG, Ferozepur Range, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, replacing Kuldeep Singh Chahal.

Harmanbir Singh Gill (2010-batch Punjab cadre IPS officer), previously serving as Joint Director, MRS PPA, Phillaur, and DIG, IRB, Patiala, has been appointed as DIG, Ferozepur Range, replacing Swapan Shar

The government order also stated that the posting order for Kuldeep Singh Chahal (2009-batch IPS officer) will be issued later.
