Inspired by the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana continues to empower economically weaker students in Uttar Pradesh, having provided free coaching to more than 82,000 aspirants since its inception in 2021. Administered by the Social Welfare Department, the scheme is now undergoing a transformative upgrade with the integration of artificial intelligence tools, launch of an AI-enabled Abhyudaya portal, and strategic involvement of retired officials and academic experts. This multi-faceted approach aims to widen the scheme’s reach and enhance the quality of mentorship provided to students preparing for competitive exams.
In a significant technological leap, an online application process has been launched through the Abhyudaya portal. This move simplifies access to the scheme for students across both rural and urban regions of the state. In its initial phase, the portal is accepting applications from aspirants of the UPSC and UPPCS exams, setting the stage for a streamlined and transparent registration process.
Further strengthening the scheme, plans are underway to expand the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana to the block level from this academic session. This expansion will allow students in remote areas to avail quality training at centers located closer to their homes. At present, 166 training centers are fully operational across all 75 districts, with the number expected to increase in the upcoming sessions to meet rising demand.

To provide more structured and expert guidance, retired civil servants and university professors are being systematically brought on board. In the past, administrative officers and subject experts have played a key role in mentoring students and conducting mock interviews. Going forward, under direct guidance from the Chief Minister, this process will be institutionalized to ensure consistent and high-quality engagement.

Currently, over 500 IAS, 450 IPS, and approximately 300 IFS officers are extending their support through the Abhyudaya portal by offering both virtual and in-person mentorship. In addition, domain experts from various sectors are conducting specialized training sessions. So far, ten mock interview sessions have been held for candidates appearing in UPSC and PCS interviews. These efforts have borne fruit, with over 743 students successfully clearing prestigious competitive examinations.
