In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has announced the transfer and appointment of several senior IPS officers across key leadership positions within the state police department, with immediate effect.

Vijayendra S. Bidari, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Chennai. Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar, from the 2002 batch, has been transferred as the Inspector General of Police, Enforcement, Chennai. G. Karthikeyan, also a 2002-batch officer, has been posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Chennai.

Santosh Kumar, a 2002-batch IPS officer, assumes charge as the Inspector General of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai. M. Sathiya Priya, from the 2005 batch, has taken over as the Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu, Chennai.

Dr. M. Durai has been transferred as the Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, Headquarters, Tamil Nadu. Seema Agrawal, a 1990-batch officer, has been appointed as the Director General of Police and Director, Fire and Rescue Services, Chennai.

Additionally, Rupesh Kumar Meena, a 2005-batch officer, has been posted as the Director General of Police, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.

These appointments underscore the Tamil Nadu government’s commitment to strengthening leadership and operational efficiency across the state’s police infrastructure.
