Centre: Several Appointments and Recommendations announced, Chandni Singh made PS to Minister for Women & Child Development

The union government has unveiled a series of key appointments and administrative changes within its central ministries. The latest moves include new appointments, extensions, repatriations, and shifts across various departments. 

Key Appointees and Changes:

  • Chandni Singh (IAS, 2013, UP): Appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Women & Child Development at the Deputy Secretary level for five years.

  • Yogesh Mohan Dixit (IOFS, 1998) & E Srinivas (IRSSE, 1995): Repatriated to their parent cadres from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade.

  • S Murali Krishnan (IDAS, 2005): Extended additional charge as CVO at V. O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Thoothukudi, until 15 April 2025.

  • K G Jagadeesha (IAS, 2005, KN) & M Muthukumar (IAS, 2008, OD): Repatriated from the Coffee Board and assigned additional charge as Secretary of the Coffee Board, Bengaluru.

  • Hemant Kumar Patil (IOFS, 2002): Shifted to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as Director until 15 August 2026.

  • Arunita Phukan Yadav (IRS C&IT, 2011): Deputation extended as Executive Director of the Tea Board, Guwahati, until 31 May 2026.

  • Pankaj Srivastava (IRS IT, 2007): Appointed as Director in the Ministry of Cooperation until 29 July 2027.

  • D Satheesh (PPS of CSSS Cadre): Regularised and appointed as Private Secretary to Professor Ramesh Chand at NITI Aayog on a co-terminus basis from 16 July 2024.

  • Vipul Aggarwal (IPS, 2001, GJ): Tenure extended as Principal Commissioner at the Delhi Development Authority.

  • Bimal Kumar Jha & Sunil Paliwal (IAS, 1993, TN): Entrusted with ex-post facto additional charges as Chairperson at Chidambaranar Port Authority during specified periods.

  • Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat (IPS, 1998, GJ) & Surendra Singh Yadav (IPS, 1997, AGMUT): Tenure extended as Inspector General at SPG and appointed as Deputy Inspector General in the Border Security Force, respectively.

  • Raj Kumar Singh (IPS, 2004) & Nidhi Tewari (IFS, 2014): Appointed as in-charge Director General of Police in Chandigarh and Private Secretary to the Prime Minister.

  • Sujata Chaturvedi (IAS, 1989, BH): Now holds additional charge as Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

  • Raman Kumar Meena (IPS, 2011, HP) & Shilpa D (IPS, 2016, KL): Promoted to DIG in CBI and inducted as Superintendent of Police in the CBI.

  • Ashish Gupta (IAS, 2013, RJ), Pawan Kumar Sharma (IRSSE, 2006) & Vijaykumar Vinayakrao Patil (IOFS, 2006): Appointed as Joint Director in the NTA and as Directors in the NTA, respectively.

  • Suneet Mehta (IFS, 2007): Accredited concurrently as High Commissioner of India to Tuvalu.

Jal Singh Meena (IPS, 2010, TR): Appointed as DIG in the Border Security Force on a lateral shift basis until 18 July 2026.
