The Government of Chhattisgarh has announced the promotion of IAS officers from the 2009 batch to the Pay Matrix Level-14, effective January 1, 2025. This elevation is granted upon the completion of 16 years of service, subject to mandatory participation in the Mid-Career Training (Phase-IV). 

Below are the details of the promoted officers and their respective postings:

• Dr. Priyanka Shukla, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Commissioner-cum-Director, Health Services; Additional Charge as Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
  • New Role: Commissioner, Health Services; Additional Charge as Officer on Special Duty, Health and Family Welfare Department.
• Kiran Kaushal, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Commissioner, Medical Education.
  • New Role: Same
• Avnish Kumar Sharan, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Collector, Bilaspur District.
  • New Role: Same
• Saurabh Kumar, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Director, Town and Country Planning; Additional Charge as CEO, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority.
  • New Role: CEO, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority; Additional Charge as Director, Town and Country Planning.
• Sunil Kumar Jain, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Director, Geology and Mining; Additional Charges as Special Secretary, Mineral Resources and Energy Departments; MD, Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation.
  • New Role: Director, Geology and Mining; Additional Charge as Officer on Special Duty, Mineral Resources and Energy Departments; MD, Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation.
• Bipin Manjhi, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Collector, Narayanpur District.
  • New Role: Secretary, Public Service Commission.
• Doman Singh, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Commissioner, Jagdalpur Bastar Division.
  • New Role: Same
• K.D. Kunjam, IAS (2009)
  • Current Role: Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department; Additional Charges as Special Secretary, Religious Trusts and Endowments Department; Director, Printing and Stationery.

The state government, on December 31, had also announced a major promotion order for IAS officers, assigning new responsibilities to some and retaining current postings for others.

Key Highlights:

• Urban Administration Department: Promoted 30 IAS officers.
• 2012 Batch: 10 officers will now receive the Senior Class Pay Scale.
• 2016 Batch: 18 officers, including Public Relations Commissioner Ravi Mittal, will be elevated to the Junior Administrative Pay Scale.
• 2021 Batch: Two officers will be granted the Senior Pay Scale.

Abhijit Singh (2012 Batch): Appointed as Special Secretary, Home and Jail Department, with an additional charge as Special Secretary, Medical Education Department.
