The collaboration is expected to catalyze the growth and global expansion of Indian startups, providing a blend of financial support, mentorship, and market access.

The joint initiative is poised to create unprecedented opportunities for startups across India, reinforcing the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of Startup India, emphasized the macroeconomic impact of the partnership. He noted that this effort aligns seamlessly with India’s broader economic agenda, which includes initiatives like “Make in India” and “Make for the World.” These strategies aim to position India as a global leader in sectors such as manufacturing, consumer products, B2B services, and cleantech.

As part of the collaboration, Stride Ventures will curate specialized programs and support initiatives like the Bharat Grand Challenge, aimed at driving entrepreneurship and innovation. Sh. Sanjiv highlighted the potential of this partnership to accelerate investment in startups, ultimately serving as a stepping stone to achieve overall economic growth.

He stated, “Our partnership with DPIIT injects fresh momentum into our mission of empowering entrepreneurs to ‘Make in India’ and deliver globally impactful solutions. With our billion-dollar commitment to nurturing startups, we are determined to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem and unlock immense potential for transformative global impact.”

Stride Ventures intends to focus on identifying high-growth-potential startups and providing them with funding, market access, and policy support. Special attention will be given to startups in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, which will benefit from targeted mentorship and access to a global mentor network to guide their scaling journeys. The partnership also aims to raise awareness about diverse fundraising instruments, such as venture debt, enabling startups to explore innovative funding options that align with their growth aspirations.
