
Akshay Sachdeva, a 1991-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Sikkim. Previously serving as Special DGP, Law and Order, Sachdeva succeeds outgoing DGP A.K. Singh, a 1990-batch IPS officer.
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang congratulated Sachdeva on his new role, expressing confidence in his leadership and commitment to public service. “His dedication to public service inspires confidence in his ability to lead Sikkim toward greater progress and excellence,” said Tamang.
The Chief Minister also extended gratitude to A.K. Singh for his remarkable service, wishing him a fulfilling retired life.

Rajesh Arya Appointed Chairman of NTRO

Rajesh Arya, a 1994-batch IPS officer from the Rajasthan cadre, has been named the new Chairman of the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO).

The NTRO, a premier technical intelligence agency, plays a pivotal role in cyber operations and intelligence gathering to enhance national security. Functioning under the Prime Minister’s Office, the organization is central to strengthening India’s defence and intelligence capabilities.
Arya’s extensive experience in security and intelligence operations is expected to bring enhanced strategic direction to the NTRO, reinforcing its critical contributions to national security.
Sunil Kumar Singh Replaces Vaibhav Krishna as DIG, Azamgarh
Vaibhav Krishna, a 2010-batch IPS officer, has been appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Krishna was previously serving as DIG of Azamgarh Range, Azamgarh.

Sunil Kumar Singh, also a 2010-batch IPS officer, has taken over as the new DIG of Azamgarh Range. Singh was last posted as DIG of Traffic and Road Safety at the Uttar Pradesh Headquarters.
