In a strategic administrative move, the Bihar government has reshuffled six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, as announced in a notification by the state home department on Wednesday. Among the significant changes, 2012 batch IPS officer Neeraj Kumar Singh, currently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Inspection in Patna, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) in Patna.

Chandra Prakash, a 2019 batch officer and outgoing SP of Jamui, has been reassigned as Commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP)-17 in Bodh Gaya. Deepak Ranjan from the 2012 batch retains his position as Commandant of BSAP-3 in Bodh Gaya.

Notable movements include the transfer of Sanjay Bharti, a 2014 batch officer, as ASP (Inspection) in Patna, and Hari Shankar Kumar, a 2018 batch officer, who has been designated as Rail SP for Katihar district. Meanwhile, Pramod Kumar Yadav has been appointed as Commandant of BSAP-1 in Patna, with the additional responsibility of overseeing the Special Task Force (STF) campaign in the state capital.
