Bengaluru Tech Summit


Bengaluru reaffirmed its status as India’s leading innovation hub by hosting the 27th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024, Asia’s largest tech conclave. Co-hosted by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), the 3-day event, held at Bangalore Palace from November 19-21, showcased India’s thriving tech startup ecosystem and honored excellence in IT with the prestigious Karnataka IT Export Awards 2024.

Recognising IT Excellence with Karnataka IT Export Awards 2024


The STPI IT Export Awards 2024 celebrated the outstanding contributions of Karnataka’s IT industry to technological innovation, export growth, forex inflows, and job creation.

  • Infosys was honored with the Karnataka IT Ratna Award for its exceptional contributions to the industry.
  • High Growth in ExportsIT/ITES awards were presented to Altran Technologies India Pvt Ltd, Microland Ltd, and Standard Chartered Global Business Services Pvt Ltd.
  • L&T Technology Services Ltd. was named Best Performer—IT/ITES (Mysuru Region), and Glowtouch Technologies Pvt. Ltd. received the same recognition for the Mangaluru Region.
  • Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd. received the award for Highest New Jobs Creator – IT.

STPI SAYUJ Community Startup Pavilion: A Hub of Innovation


The STPI SAYUJ Community Startup Pavilion took center stage at the summit, showcasing 60 groundbreaking startups from Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities across India. These innovative enterprises demonstrated cutting-edge solutions in areas like AI, IoT, software, and agri-tech, reflecting the entrepreneurial spirit driving India’s journey toward a Viksit Bharat.

Prominent startups included:

  • Swadha Agri Private Limited, a women-led enterprise from Jharkhand, revolutionising dairy operations in Tier II and III cities through a SaaS platform that bridges rural farmers with urban markets.
  • Rajesh Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., a Bengaluru-based hardware and medical device innovator, driving healthcare advancements with support from STPI’s IoT OpenLab and global exposure initiatives.

STPI continues to bolster India’s startup ecosystem by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, expert mentoring, and access to global markets. Initiatives like SAYUJ, a comprehensive networking platform for startups and stakeholders, and domain-specific Centres of Entrepreneurship like OctaNE CoE and IoT OpenLab, ensure emerging enterprises are equipped to scale innovations effectively.
