Appointments: Mugdha Sinha appointed DG Tourism, Sanjeev Kaushal named Chairman HPGCL

Mugdha Sinha, a 1999-batch IAS officer from the Rajasthan cadre, has been
appointed the new Director General of Tourism by the Ministry of Tourism. Sinha takes over from Manisha Saxena in her new role. Previously, Sinha served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.


In other key appointments, Deepak Kumar, a 2010-batch IDAS officer, has been
redesignated as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs. His tenure will extend
until August 24, 2026, following his central deputation, which began on August 25, 2021.

Milind Dharmrao Ramteke, a 2009-batch IAS officer from the Tripura cadre, has
been appointed Director in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.
His term is set to last until January 7, 2025.

In Haryana, former Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal has been named Chairman of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL), replacing A K Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department. Kaushal will serve a two-year term following his retirement on July 31, 2024.
