In a series of notifications issued on Monday, the government announced significant appointments and extensions in various departments. Reena Ashis Dash, Ravinder Kumar, and Vivek Kumar Singh were appointed to crucial positions in departments dealing with health, sanitation, and food processing in Delhi. Additionally, Dharmendra Sharma received an extension, while Dr. Vivek Gogia assumed additional responsibilities upon the superannuation of Balaji Srivastava.
Reena Ashis Dash takes charge as Director in Department of Health and Family Welfare
Reena Ashis Dash, an IRS officer of the 2009 batch in the Customs and Central Excise department has been appointed as the Director of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi. She will serve in this capacity for a period of five years.
Ravinder Kumar Assumes the role of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation
Ravinder Kumar, an IAS officer belonging to the 2012 AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Delhi. He will hold this position for a term of four years.
Vivek Kumar Singh appointed Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries
Vivek Kumar Singh, a CWES officer from the 2012 batch, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Delhi. He will serve in this capacity for a period of four years.
Extension Granted to Dharmendra Sharma as Director General
Dharmendra Sharma, an IAS officer of the 1988 AGMUT cadre, has been granted an extension as Director General of the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management. He will continue in this role on a contract basis for six months beyond September 30, 2024, until March 31, 2025.
Dr. Vivek Gogia assumes additional charge
Dr. Vivek Gogia, an IPS officer of the 1991 AGMUT cadre and Director of NCRB, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the Director General of the Bureau of Research & Development (BPR&D). This responsibility comes following the superannuation of Balaji Srivastava, IPS officer of the 1988 AGMUT cadre, on March 31, 2024. Dr. Gogia will hold this additional charge for a month or until the joining of Rajeev Kumar Sharma, IPS officer of the 1990 RJ cadre.
