In a recent administrative shake-up in Jharkhand, the Champai Soren government has shifted 8 key IAS officers, each tasked with important responsibilities across various departments.
Leading the appointments is K. Srinivasan, a seasoned IAS officer from the 2005 batch, who is now assigned the task of Secretary for the Rural Development Department. Additionally, he will oversee the Rural Affairs Department and serve as Director of the esteemed Shri Krishna Institute of Public Administration (SKIPA).
Meanwhile, Sukhdeo Singh, a veteran from the 1987 batch and former Director General of SKIPA is given the supplementary role of Chief Residential Commissioner at Jharkhand Bhawan, New Delhi.
Arwa Raj Kamal, a 2008 batch IAS, currently serving as the CM’s Secretary, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Residential Commissioner at Jharkhand Bhawan.
In a notable switch, Chandrashekhar, another adept officer from the 2008 batch, transitions from the Secretary of Rural Development to the helm of the Urban Development Department. He will concurrently serve as Managing Director of JUIDCO and GRDA.
Furthermore, Dr. Amitabh Kaushal, Secretary of Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, is given additional responsibility of Secretary for the Information and Public Relations Department.
Mukesh Kumar, overseeing Labour, Employment, Training, and Skill Development, will expand his portfolio to include the Excise and Liquor Prohibition Department.
Lastly, Satender Kumar, currently the Managing Director of the Jharkhand State Food Corporation, will extend his jurisdiction to include the role of Director of Town Administration under the Urban Development and Housing Department.
The Personnel Department confirmed these changes through an official notification.
