In a significant administrative overhaul, Mamata Banerjee-led government in West Bengal has announced a major reshuffling of IAS officers, impacting ten 2020 batch bureaucrats. This move is seen as a strategic approach to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency across various districts.
Naveen Mittal, previously serving as the OSD in the Tourism Department, will now embrace the role of SDO (Executive Magistrate) in Mathbhanga, Cooch Behar. Vandavasi Teja Deepak, associated with the MS & ME and Textile Department as OSD, has been appointed as SDO (Executive Magistrate) in Mirik, Darjeeling. In a similar move, Utkarsh Singh, from the Food and Supplies Department, will take up responsibilities as SDO in Kandi, Murshidabad.
Vishnu Das is set to transition from his role in the Fisheries and allied departments to become the SDO in Chandannagar, Hooghly. Ananya Singh, contributing to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, is slated to serve as SDO in Tehatta, Nadia. Shubham Kundal, from the PHE Department, will commence his new role as SDO in Mal, Jalpaiguri.
Further, Saurav Pandey, associated with the P&RD Department, is appointed as SDO in Rampurhat, Birbhum. Ekam J Singh, from the Women Child Development and Social Welfare Department, will take charge as SDO in Jangipur, Murshidabad. Patil Yogesh Ashokrao, serving in the Department of Planetary and Mountain Affairs, is reassigned as SDO in Kharagpur, West Medinipur. Lastly, Manjeet Kumar Yadav, from the TET & SD Department, will now oversee responsibilities as SDO in Egra, East Medinipur.
This reshuffle is indicative of the state government’s intent to invigorate the administrative machinery with fresh perspectives and renewed vigor, ensuring efficient governance and rapid development across West Bengal.
