IAS Pamela Satpathy Appointed District Collector Karimnagar

In a recent development, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Pamela Satpathy has been designated as the new District Collector and Magistrate of Karimnagar. This appointment follows her promotion from her previous role as the Director of Municipal Administration in Hyderabad. The order for her posting was issued by Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Monday.


Simultaneously, the Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Abhishek Mohanty, who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Traffic Rachakonda, has been transferred to Karimnagar and assigned the position of Commissioner of Police. Members of the service have been instructed to assume their respective roles by 7 p.m. on Monday and report their compliance.

These appointments come after the Election Commission of India (ECI) transferred the incumbent Karimnagar Police Commissioner L Subba Rayudu IPS and District Collector B Gopi ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections.
