J. Ganesan, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer belonging to the Haryana Batch of 2006, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. (HAFED) and Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (HARTRON).
HAFED plays a vital role in the procurement, distribution, and marketing of agricultural produce, while HARTRON is responsible for promoting and implementing information technology and electronics-based projects in Haryana.
He has previously held several significant positions including Director of Secondary Education in Haryana, Special Secretary to the Government in the Haryana School Education Department, and Chief Administrator of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board.
During his tenure as the Director of School and Secondary education, J Ganesan was at the helm of affairs of ambitious projects including the distribution of tablets to lakhs of government school students of classes 10th and 12th under the “e-Adhigam” scheme launched by the Haryana government.
His present posting order has come after he has returned from a year long study leave.
