In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle on Wednesday, the Gujarat government transferred seven senior IAS officers across various departments. The officers affected include those in revenue, ports, finance, and urban development departments.

MK Das, who currently serves as the additional chief secretary of the ports and transport department, has been appointed as the head of the revenue department, replacing Kamal Dayani. Dayani, on the other hand, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, a position he previously held in an additional capacity. Das will also continue to hold the additional charge of the ports and transport department.
Mona Khandhar, who currently holds the position of Principal Secretary in the Finance Department (economic affairs), has been transferred and appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Panchayats, Rural Housing, and Rural Development Department. Her junior colleague, Arti Kanwar, who serves as the resident Commissioner to the Government of Gujarat in New Delhi, will replace Khandhar in the finance department.
Ashwani Kumar, the Principal Secretary of the sports department, has been transferred and appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Urban Housing department. This move relieves Sanjeev Kumar of his additional charge.

Rajkumar Beniwal, a 2004-batch officer currently serving as the Commissioner of Municipalities, has been appointed as the vice-Chairman and CEO of the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), taking over from RB Barad who held the additional charge.
Manish Bhardwaj, a 1997-batch officer, has been assigned the additional responsibility of CEO of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority. He will continue to serve as the Principal Secretary of the Narmada, Water Resources, and Water Supply department.
