Anil Baijal


Following the orders from Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal, on January 24, the Government of Delhi reshuffled the police lineup of the Capital and shifted nine IPS officers to new posts.

  1. S B K Singh (IPS 1998-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner of Police, Technology & Project Implementation. However, Singh is awaiting his posting orders after returning from Arunanchal Pradesh. He will assume the charge post-retirement of incumbent CP Dr Muktesh Chander (IPS 1988-Batch) on January 31.
  2. Neeraj Thakur (IPS 1994-Batch) has been transferred and assigned the additional charge of Special Commissioner of Police, Crime. He is presently posted as Special CP, Special Branch.
  3. Sagar Preet Hooda (IPS 1997-Batch) has been given the charge of Special Commissioner of Police, Law & Order Zone-II.
  4. Chhaya Sharma (IPS 1999-Batch) presently serving as Joint CP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has been assigned the additional charge of Joint CP, Eastern Range.
  5. Ajit Kumar Singla (IPS 2004-Batch) has been transferred and assigned the charge of Joint CP, Provisioning & Logistics.
  6. P N Khirmey (IPS 2004-Batch) has been assigned the charge of Joint Commissioner of Police, Security.
  7. Hibu Tamang (IPS 2004-Batch) will take over the charge of Joint Commissioner of Police, Headquarters.
  8. Madhur Verma (IPS 2005-Batch) will assume the post of Additional Commissioner of Police, Armed Police.
  9. Chinmoy Biswal (IPS 2008-Batch) has been transferred and posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Western Range.
