Chief Secretary of Assam Jishnu Barua (IAS 1988-Batch), on June 14, has been assigned the additional charge of Chairman, Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL), Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd (APGCL), and Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Ltd (AEGCL).
The orders came after the former Chairman of these power companies V K Pipersenia (Retd. IAS 1980-Batch) resigned from the post on June 12.
