The Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday, May 21, released orders to appoint S N Shrivastava (IPS 1985-Batch) as the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, in full capacity. Prior to the order, Srivastava was holding the additional charge of Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
The senior IPS officer of 1985-Batch, Shrivastava was assigned the additional charge of Commissioner, Delhi Police in February 2020. He took over the charge from Amulya Patnaik (IPS 1995-Batch) the then Commissioner of Delhi Police. Srivastava, before taking the charge of Delhi Police, was serving in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
