Giving approval to a minor bureaucratic reshuffle in the West Bengal Police, the Government of West Bengal on May 21 issued orders for the transfer of four IPS officers.
- Dr Debasish Roy (IPS 1990-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Additional Director General (ADG) of Police and Inspector General (IG) of Police, Training.
- Anuj Sharma (IPS 1991-Batch) has been assigned the charges of ADG and IG, West Bengal Armed Police.
- Gyanwant Singh (IPS 1993-Batch) has been made ADG and IGP, Crime Investigation Department (CID). Also, Singh gets the charge of Additional Director, Security.
- Ajey Mukund Ranade (IPS 1995-Batch) has been given the post of Advisor, Security and Vigilance, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).
