MHA reshuffles charges of 8 IPS officers in Delhi Police

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, approved a minor reshuffle in Delhi police and transferred eight IPS officers on March 2.


David Lalrinsanga (IPS 1995-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner of Police, P&L.

Devesh Chandra (IPS 1995-Batch) has been made Special Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing.

I D Shukla (IPS 1995-Batch) will assume the post of Special Commissioner of Police, Security.


Sagar Preet Hooda (IPS 1997-Batch) has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Cell.

O P Mishra (IPS 2002-Batch) will take over as Joint Commissioner of Police, Licensing.


A V Deshpande (IPS 2006-Batch) has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Special Police Unit for Women And Children (SPUWAC).

Geeta Rani Verma (IPS 2007-Batch) has been given the charge of Additional Commissioner of Police, Armed Police.

Romila Baaniya (IPS 2007-Batch) has been made Additional Commissioner of Police, General Administration.
