Amitabh Jain appointed as new Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh

In its latest order dated November 30, the Government of Chhattisgarh appointed Amitabh Jain, IAS officer of 1989-Batch, as the Chief Secretary to the State of Chhattisgarh. Jain is presently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department and Water Resources Department.

Amitabh Jain will be replacing Rajendra Prasad Mandal, the incumbent Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh. Prasad has completed his age of superannuation on November 30, 2020, i.e. today. Hence, Jain will be taking over the charge.
