Prime Minister reconstitutes NITI Aayog


The Government of India has reconstituted NITI Aayog. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is also the Chairman of the Think Tank, has approved the reconstitution.

Dr Raiv Kumar will continue to hold the post of Vice Chairman. Other full time members include VK Saraswat, Prof Ramesh Chand and Dr VK Paul.

The Prime Minister has appointed Cabinet ministers as ex-officio members. The Union Ministers are Rajnath Singh (Defence Minister), Amit Shah (Home Minister), Nirmala Sitharaman (Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister) and Narendra Singh Tomar (Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister).


Special invites have been extended to Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment; Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Minister of Commerce and Industry and Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Planning.
