Manirupa Bhattacharya appointed Joint Secretary of West Bengal MSME&T Department

Manirupa Bhattacharya, who is presently Joint Secretary, North Bengal Development Department, has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Micro and Small Scale Enterprises and Textiles, Government of West Bengal.

“The Governor has been pleased, in the interest of the public service, to appoint Smt. Manirupa Bhattacharya WBCS(Exe), now posted as Joint Secretary, North Bengal Development Department, to the post of Joint Secretary, MS & ME & T Department, West Bengal,” a government notification said.

The North Bengal Development Department is headed by Rabindra Nath Ghosh, the Minister in charge of North Bengal Development Department.

The department was created in 2011 for the comprehensive development of the eight northern districts of West Bengal — Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur and Malda.
