Under the ‘Digital India’ programme of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, 4.25 crore job seekers, 14.87 lakh employers, 28,000 skill providers, 3,000 counsellors and other key stakeholders have registered on National Career Services portal.

This was informed by Principal Labour and Employment Advisor BN Nanda while speaking to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) at the National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA).

The Union Ministry of Labour and Employment has supported many State Governments to establish 107 Model Career Service Center (MCC), out of which six MCCs have been established in Odisha at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Rourkela and Gajapati, added BN Nanda.


About 100 MCCs will be established in current financial year for which the Government of India provides grant up to Rs 50 lakh for each MCC.

The State Government appoints two career counsellors in each MCC. At present, around 982 employment exchanges are functioning across the country.
