Farmers’ income to be doubled by 2022: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the farmers across the country through video confewrenciand talked about the agriculture issues conferencing about the issues related to the agriculture sector.

During the interaction he said that Government is continuosly working to double the farmers income by 2022.

The video conferencing was done through NaMo app and more than five crore farmers participated in it.

He also informed that his government has doubled the budget for agriculture to Rs 2.12 lakh crore to achieve its objective of doubling farm income by 2022.

“Farmers should get correct price for their produce, therefore, the government has decided that the minimum support price (MSP) of notified crops will be fixed at least one-and-a-half times of cost,” he said.
