Chandigarh, November 14 – With a view to promote Information Technology-based industries in the State, the Haryana Government would establish an IT Investment Region near Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

This was revealed by the state Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, after the inaugural function of India International Trade Fair-2016 (IITF-2016) being organised at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from November 14 to 27. The Fair was inaugurated by the President, Pranab Mukherjee.


The Chief Minister said that Haryana was the focus state of IITF-2016, which had ‘Digital India’ as its theme. He said that the government schemes being implemented in the State had been strengthened through provision of digital services. An Electronic System Design and Manufacturing cluster would also be set up in the State, which would prove to be a milestone in the field of IT. Common Service Centres would also be established in every village in the Swarna Jayanti Year of the State, he added.

Referring to IT-based services being utilised in all government departments, he said that online services were being provided for all tasks related to CM Window, e-Appointment for property registration, e-Registration in tehsils, Integrated Finance Management System, Harsamay portal registration of births and deaths and works of Excise and Taxation Department.


He said that 117 e-services were being provided to the people in the State. Haryana was the first State to prepare ‘Jeevan Pramanan’ application for issuing life certificates, and state resident database was also being prepared, he added.
