22 lakh children linked through Aadhar in Haryana

CHANDIGARH, October 23-Women and Child Development Department, Haryana has completed Aadhaar linkage of 22 lakh children of 0-5 years and aadhaar linkage of remaining about two lakh children would also be undertaken.


While stating this here today, Director, Women and Child Development, Dr.Renu S. Phulia said that the aadhaar linkage of children shall facilitate in identification of bogus or duplicate enrollment of children in Anganwadi Centres and would optimize the fund allocated for supplementary nutrition programme of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).

She said that supervisors have been entrusted to undergo training-cum-certification programme with the coordination and sponsorship of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). She said that the supervisors would be provided TABSfor preparation of Aadhaar Cards and Rs. 18 per child as remuneration for this purpose. The charges for training-cum-certification programme at a rate of Rs. 365 per participant will be paid the department. The preparation of Aadhaar Card is in public interest, she added.
