Having made significant advancements in various domains like health, education and governance since its creation some 15 years ago, the State of Chhattisgarh has added another feather to its cap by becoming home to a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centre as well.

Styled on the lines of other similar centres across the country, the State’s maiden BPO centre has come up in the capital city of Raipur.

The Patra India BPO Service Private Limited-launched BPO centre would provide jobs to nearly 400 hands and it would work for the insurance industry of the USA, according to the State Government officials. The centre would preferably hire commerce graduates for the job.

It may be recalled that the State had only last year implemented its IT and Electronics Policy (2014-2019).

“We are trying to attract greater investment so as to create more and more employment opportunities in the State,” said a senior official.
