Many global firms including Google, Facebook and Cisco have reportedly consulted with the Delhi Government for its ambitious free wi-fi project.

According to reports, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal presided over a meeting to discuss the project.
Many domestic firms have also shown interest in the project and consulted with the government.
The tender document, if cleared by the cabinet in mid-September, will be floated soon. The officials expect tenders to be awarded in October.
