Delhi Govt proposes free WiFi up to 1GB for a month

Free-Wifi-Internet-SymbolDelhi government has reportedly proposed to provide free WiFi usage upto 1GB for a month.

Ashish Khetan, Vice-Chairman, Delhi Dialogue Commission said that free WiFi will be provided in all government and private colleges within one year as part of the first phase.

And, in second and third phases, public WiFi will be provided in rural areas and unauthorised colonies respectively.

“The minimum speed of the WiFi proposed by the government is 1 Mbps. Users should get 1 GB of downloads for a month free,” Khetan said.
