As part of Digital India initiative, Indian Railways launched a new mobile ticketing for the Western Railway’s suburban commuters in Mumbai. Union Railway minister Suresh Prabhu launched the facility.
Mobile application-based paperless ticket system will be available on the Western Railway’s suburban system between Churchgate and Dahanu Road.

The app will be initially available on Android and Windows smartphones.
According to report, the facility would also be introduced at Central Railway Suburban trains.
