The Centre has asked ministries under it to record employees’ Aadhaar numbers in their service books.

Reportedly, an action taken report has been sought from the ministries in this regard.
Presently, an employee’s service book contains his or her bio-data, posting and security details, qualifying service, House Building Advance, Central Government Health Scheme, Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, etc.
