RailYatri.in, a technology firm that builds products to help train travellers in India, has launched RailYatri Insights, a unique Big Data and discovery tool to answer crucial queries from its users related to railways’ operations.
According to the company, the tool provides insights from train traveller data spread across hundreds of meta-data fields and behavioural information sources. It is provides quick turnarounds for complex train travel queries.
Using RailYatri Insights, train travelers can get information associated with:
- Most Frequently Visted Cities
- Top 5 routes of Train
- Mobile Network on Train Track
- City Railway Network Coverage
- Average Train Delay at Station
“The number of decision criteria which every train traveler has to consider at various stages of the life cycle of the journey is simply mind-blowing and can drive up trip-related stress. ‘RailYatri Insights‘ addresses to the growing need for Big Data analysis in order to uncover hidden yet useful information which train travelers in India can effectively utilize”, the company’s co-founder and CEO Manish Rathi said in a statement.
“RailYatri will also extend the Insights tool with additional visualizations which would mine additional travel-related behavior in India”, the company said.
The tool has reportedly used data from more than 50 million travelers over the last few years across 8,000 train stations and more than 2,000 train routes.
