Aditya Swaroop is new Jharkhand CIC

Aditya Swaroop, a retired IAS officer of 1982 batch Jharkhand cadre has been appointed as the new Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of the State. Governor Syed Ahmed administered the oath to him at the Raj Bhawan in Ranchi. Along with the Chief Minister of the State, Raghubar Das, Chief Secretary Rajeev Gauba and many other senior officers were present at the oath-taking ceremony.


His name was recently approved by a three-member committee headed by the Chief Minister. Apart from the CM, the two members are Nikanth Singh Munda, Rural Development Minister, and the leader of opposition, Hemant Soren (JMM).
