Karnail Singh, retired 1964 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Advisor to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav. Singh had earlier served on the Ministry of Defence when Mulayam Singh was Union Defence Minister and then again as his Secretary during his CM stint.
