New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has selected Jhabua Collector and District Electoral Officer Ms Jaishree Kiyawat for Best Electoral Process Award-2012.

The award will be given to her by Vice- President on January 25 this month in New Delhi.

Jhabua district was given a target to include names of 30,000 voters on the basis of population in electoral rolls under summary revision campaign launched from October 2012.


The district achieved the target successfully. From January 2012 to January 2013, names of over one lakh voters have been included in electoral rolls. At present, percent of voters is 61 in ratio of population in Jhabua district.

Besides this, photo identity cards have been distributed to 97 percent voters.
