The Commercial Taxes Department in the Southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu launched several e-Services. This move is aimed at the benefiting the business community, which includes online refund claim for exporters, e-Request for saleable forms and fast track clearance system.
Now, the dealers can make online request for saleable forms which is applicable for inter-state purchase of goods. They can get the status of their e-Request for saleable forms from the website using the acknowledgment number.
This facility has improved the speed of the clearance system. The Check Post Officer can scrutinise the online applications made prior to the arrival of the vehicle at the check post and enables the quick clearance of the vehicles.
National Informatics Centre , Chennai has designed and developed this web based software.
