National Institute for Smart Government (NISG) has received the 2007 UN Public Service Awards in the category of “Improving transparency, accountability and responsiveness in the Public Service” for “e-Procurement Project”. The award giving ceremony was held at the United Nations Office in Vienna, Austria on 26 June 2007 during the plenary session of the 7th Global Forum on Reinventing Government.

More than 1000 participants including heads of state, ministers, high level government officials, international experts, representatives of NGOs and other organizations working in the field of governance from around the world participated in the event. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), a UN system-wide partnership organized the Global Forum, which receives support from the Governments of Austria, Italy , France , the Republic of Korea, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
