CESO initiates e-Gov project in Philippines

The Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) has initiated the project, “E-Governance for Municipal Development,” in partnership with the League of Municipalities in the Philippines (LMP) and its research arm the Mayor's Development Center (MDC).

The project hopes to improve governance and delivery of public service in 40 municipalities using the ICT. Staff members of municipalities will receive technical training and assistance in using eLGU software, a Real Property Tax System, Business Permit and License System, and Treasury Operations Management System. As the project is mainly funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the project proponents tapped CESO to render technical advice and assistance.
