The Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA) of Gujarat, India is working on a software to provide required information for the industry on their various applications.

The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Department of Information Technology, India will develop the software. The software will enable the companies to know the status of their application filed in the FDCA through a website. The NIC is preparing the new software as the part of its e-governance support programme. The FDCA will provide a secret password to its applicant which can be used to log in to the website and collect the relevant data, like status of the application. Currently, the website with information providing facility are operational in all the FDCA regional and central offices and the system would be launched for public within two months. The administration has already completed its computerized data management-licensing project.
