Speaking at the conference of chief secretaries, the cabinet secretary of India has said that the public service delivery needs to be citizen-centric and e-Governance needs to be rural oriented.

He said, the public service delivery can be improved only if the corruption is minimised, with increased transparency and simplification of the existing procedures and systems. He also added that to address this, the common service centres are to be extended to the rural areas. Rajni Razdan, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grienvances and Penisons and Pensioner's Welfare, has said that in the changed scenario, public service delivery has to be transparent, professionally managed, citizen-centric and sensitive to the changing needs of the time.
