Planning Commission of India is planning to bring out a National database in the country to enable effective treatment of patients in all over the country.

The Department of Information Technology (DIT) and Tele Medicine have already submitted a preliminary report under 11th five-year plan and soon government wills study the report. The National database will provide complete details of patients who are suffering from chronic illness and acute ailments to doctors in any part of the country.
