Today, a two-day 10th national e-Governance conference has been started in Bhopal, India. The conference will deliberate on various subjects, including community participation in e-Governance and display IT enabled services and e-Governance initiatives of states.

 

The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the conference. Principal secretaries of different states, IT advisors and representatives of several IT firms are attending the theme of the event, titled ‘Enabling government to accelerate transformation’. Central IT ministry, department of administrative reforms and public grievances and the Madhya Pradesh IT department have sponsored for the conference. Union Minister of State Suresh Pachouri would present the national award for excellent efforts to promote e-Governance. It will also feature discussions on subjects including, change in government processes, purchase of hardware and software and setting up of computer kiosks in rural areas. Pachauri will release ‘e-Readiness Report 2005’ on the occasion.
