The State Government police is taking initiative steps in the direction of e-Governance by introducing FIR service online in Himachal Pradesh, India.

 

The State Government Police has chosen 11 police stations of the state for this service. Now citizens of the state can file their FIR report through online. Even people can check the satus of their FIR reports.  Himachal Pradesh would be the first state to launch the online FIR service in all 100 police stations. The Chief Minister of the state has launched an interactive web-portal of the police, which will provide the added facility of making online payments for traffic challans.  The first phase of the project, the four FIR online service would be implemented in Shimla and Solan districts, three in Bilaspur, while another 29 would be taken in second phase and rest 60 would be implemented in last phase.
