Now Indians can file their income tax return through e-filling service

The Chief Commissioner of the Income tax department, Rajiva Deva inaugurated the help centre of e-filling of income tax return on November 4, 2006. According to the Deva, now people can file their income tax returns on the internet also.

According to Rajiva Deva, the IT department has decided to set up e-filling help centres at various locations of Bihar and Jharkhand, which will include Patna, Muzaffarpur, Ranchi and Dhanbad. The facility is part of e-Governance plan for the implementation of e-Governance initiatives by the Union Government. The e-filling files can be filled from anywhere and anytime.  The steps of filling the returns of e-file have been explained on the e-filling website of the income tax department at incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Even any individual or organization filling paper returns can take the advantages of this facility.
