Kerala government team leaves for Dubai to discuss on Smart City

A four-member Kerala government team has left for Dubai to hold crucial discussions with Dubai Internet City (DIC) officials on the Smart City project in the state.

State IT secretary P.G. Tenzing, who is part of the team, told that he was optimistic that discussion with DIC would go in the right direction towards ironing out differences over the IT project in Kochi. The other members of the team are Sheila Thomas, Suresh Kumar – secretary and additional secretary to Achuthanandan respectively – and IT expert Joseph C. Mathew. The Memorandum of Understanding for the project was inked with the previous Oommen Chandy government in October last year.
